# Hidden Street > The right home may not be listed. Hidden Street helps buyers discover unlisted homes whose owners would consider selling, and explore the suburbs that might suit their everyday lives. hiddenstreet.homes explains Hidden Street and helps people understand the steps before a property purchase. The float and buyer services are at hiddenstreet.au. The city explorers help people explore suburbs in Melbourne (hidden-melbourne.com), Brisbane (hidden-brisbane.com) and Sydney (hidden-sydney.com). An unlisted home has no current public sale listing. That alone does not mean its owner wants to sell. Hidden Street focuses on homes whose owners have indicated they would consider selling, without committing to a sale. Off-market does not necessarily mean not marketed. A home described as off-market may already have an agent, buyers being approached and private inspections. Hidden Street explains the distinction between a privately marketed sale and an owner who is still considering. Unlisted, off-market and pre-market are not interchangeable promises of availability. A float shows the basics and an owner's "I'd consider" price. It has no photos or public street address. A float is not a listing or a commitment to sell. The price indicates the owner's position; it is not a valuation, an agreed price or a promise of a discount. A buyer can ping to request the address. A ping is interest, not an offer, and creates no obligation to proceed. The owner decides whether to share the address. If shared, the buyer can research the property, arrange a visit directly with the owner and decide whether to make an offer. Once an offer is agreed, Hidden Street's licensed agent handles the contract and deposit; solicitors then handle the next stage. Discovering a home does not replace property checks, finance assessment or legal advice. Hidden Street is free for buyers. The seller success fee is $5,500 if the property sells. Separate upfront costs for legally required forms and title checks may apply depending on the state or territory, even if the property does not sell. See the current manual and website for the fee details. Suburb exploration starts with how someone wants to live, before available listings and the pressure to decide narrow their choices. The city explorers suggest places to investigate through everyday preferences. Budget, travel time, accessibility, schools and property requirements come back into the decision after that initial exploration. Suggestions are starting points for visits and research, not property valuations, promises of affordability or evidence that a home is available in a suburb. ## Understand Hidden Street - [Unlisted homes and how Hidden Street works](https://hiddenstreet.homes/): The buyer journey, owner choice, float and ping definitions, fees and questions. - [Listed, unlisted and off-market homes](https://hiddenstreet.homes/off-market): Why off-market can still involve marketing, and what a buyer can do before a home is listed. - [Explore suburbs](https://hiddenstreet.homes/explore): Begin with everyday life, investigate places, then consider the practical requirements of a home. - [Buyer and seller manual](https://hiddenstreet.homes/assets/hidden-street-manual.pdf): The process, address privacy, seller appointment before sharing, fees, contracts and solicitors. ## Use Hidden Street - [Explore the floats](https://hiddenstreet.au/explore): Browse homes whose owners would consider selling. - [Float your place](https://hiddenstreet.au/float): The owner starting point.
